About Us

Sandy has been an adored locum vet at our clinic for over 17 years. Sandy is now the new proud owner of Galston Veterinary Clinic who bought the clinic from Andrew Miller as of September 2023.
Sandy graduated from the University of Sydney in 1998. After brief stints in horse practice in the Hunter and a mixed practice in England, she returned to small animal practice in 2002.
Sandy is a local to the area along with her Cattle Dog ‘Millie’, charming Burmese ‘Percival and Wulfric’ and French Bulldog ‘Minette’. Her interests are cats and all things small – rabbits, ferrets, mice and rats.
In her spare time, Sandy can be found most weekends near a golf course watching her son play.

Ingrid graduated from the University of Sydney in Veterinary Science and later in Fine Arts. During this time she also had a musical career as a wind player.

Ingrid has always been fascinated by veterinary medicine and she is constantly inspired by the care and love that families have for their pets.
Shortly after graduation Ingrid became the owner and manager of a northern Sydney small animal veterinary hospital. It was during those exciting years that she developed a particular interest in dermatology and gastroenterology, with an emphasis on both diagnosis and the multiple treatment options that are available and constantly evolving.

Ingrid also spends much time with her daughter and their young family as well as with her lively standard poodle and cheeky budgies.

Lily is the latest edition to our amazing team. She grew up in Sydney’s inner city and graduated from the University of Sydney in 2025. Before joining our team she worked in a feline shelter and developed a soft spot for all things feline. However, she loves taking care of your winged, hooved, or other pawed members of the family too. She has a passion for surgery, dermatology, behavioural medicine, and fear-free vet visits. In her free time she enjoys a cup of tea, baking, sewing and relaxing with her small family of animals, Tinkerbell the tabby cat, Alice the mini fox terrier, and Iggy the ginger rescue cat.

Chelsea has completed her Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing and has been a qualified nurse since 2018. She joined our team in March 2020.
Chelsea always puts her patients first and makes sure they are comfortable whilst in our care.
In her spare time she enjoys hanging with family and friends, keeping active and taking photos of nature and wildlife.

Amelia is a Cert IV qualified Veterinary Nurse, she started working with us full time in January 2024. Growing up locally, her interest in animal care stems from the desire to make a positive impact in the lives of our furry friends. Amelia is especially passionate about advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves, ensuring each animal receives attentive, respectful and individualised care. At home she has a senior Cavalier King Charles named Ollie and a bouncy rescue cat named Enzo.

Noah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience and Animal Production from the University of Sydney. He is interested in all animals, especially livestock, with lots of on-farm experience and with his goats and cattle at home. Noah is currently working toward becoming a veterinarian.

Christine is our resident dog trainer and runs our puppy school classes on Saturday mornings. She is trained in positive reinforcement techniques.

Yukari has spent nearly two decades doing what she loves — transforming dogs into their most beautiful selves. Trained at a prestigious grooming school in Japan and certified by the Japan Kennel Club, she brings a true artist’s eye and an exceptional attention to detail to every groom.
She specialises in small breeds and poodle show clips, and her passion for the craft extends well beyond the salon — she competes in professional grooming competitions and shows her own beloved toy poodles.
Since moving to Australia in 2018, Yukari has brought her artistry and warmth to every dog she works with. Whether it’s a pet trim or a full show clip, she treats every dog as her own.

Misty came to us at the end of 2016 in a bad way and with a very special Christmas surprise in her belly, 6 kittens! After her kittens were adopted, she took residence here at Galston Vet and has since become the boss. You can generally find her lazing around on the reception counter.
